Christmas Advent Reflection
This is the end of our Advent longing and preparation: Jesus Christ, who came to us 2,000 years ago, continues to come to us in our own lived experience every day, and will come again — as we say in the creed at Mass — “to judge the living and the dead.” Come, Lord Jesus!
In the exchange of gifts that happens today, attend to the sparkle of delight on the faces of loved ones. Make that recognition a prayer of gratitude for the gift God has bestowed on us in His Son, who reveals to us the depth of the Father’s love for each of us.
