Friday, December 7 Advent Reflection
Those who live in poverty and on the margins face not only the threat of lacking what they need to survive and flourish, but also the threat of despairing of God’s love, which drains their life of meaning. They stand in special need of our help, and our service to them in turn teaches us how to more deeply depend on God, ourselves. This exchange of faith and service is a tangible experience of God’s love for all of us, and the unity we build is a sign of heaven.
Who will you meet today in need of hope? What is one way you could encourage them or do something for them?
