Saturday, December 8 Advent Reflection
As we close this first week of Advent together, we return to the theme of hope. Hope requires an object — we hope in something. Hope is a clinging to something we can’t see, it’s an invisible connection to a deep order to things. It’s very close to trust, but we can’t trust God if we are unfamiliar with His love.
If you are feeling hopeless, or that your life lacks meaning, try connecting to this deep order. How? By participating in God’s love — it’s the force behind creation, after all. And that doesn’t have to be a grand project — it’s as simple as showing love to the people already in your life.
