Marjorie Maddox
Winner of the 2019 Foley Poetry Prize from America Magazine, Sage Graduate Fellow ofCornell University (MFA), and Professor of English and Creative Writing at Lock Haven University, Marjorie Maddox has published 11 collections of poetry, including Transplant, Transport, Transubstantiation (Yellowglen Prize); True, False, None of the Above (Illumination Book Award Medalist); Local News from Someplace Else; Perpendicular As I (Sandstone Book Award). She also published the short story collection What She Was Saying (Fomite); 4 children’s books; Common Wealth: Contemporary Poets on Pennsylvania (co-editor); Presence: A Journal of Catholic Poetry (assistant editor); and more than 550 stories, essays, and poems in journals and anthologies. Her poetry book Begin with a Question is due out from Paraclete Press in 2021. Marjorie gives workshops and readings around the country.
