Fall = pumpkins. I recognize that. Truth be told, I lean into that fact hard.

But it’s now October — the true month of pumpkins — and I feel like I’ve been on pumpkin overload since the PSL flooded my feed. No offense to Mr. Jack-o-Lantern, but I’d like to save a sliver of my pumpkin-longing for Thanksgiving day, when a fresh slice of pumpkin pie perfectly tops off my nap-worthy feast.

In case you’re also ready to take a break from pumpkins, but not from fall (who would ever speak of such a thing?!), here is a round-up of 14 recipes from around the internet that capitalize on the crispness of autumn and satisfy your non-pumpkin taste buds.

Peruse by meal or type of food. This list aims to take you out of your usual fall comfort zone, but all recipes utilize easy-to-find ingredients at your local grocery.
