As we continue to make our way through June, Pope Francis wants us to take a closer look at our tech habits. Specifically, his prayer intention for this month is “[t]hat social networks may work towards that inclusiveness which respects others for their differences.”
But, what exactly does that mean?
In his video, Pope Francis says, “Communication technology…can offer immense possibilities for encounter and solidarity.”
Pope Francis is suggesting that social media should ultimately bring us closer together united by care for one another.
Our lists of friends on Facebook and followers on Twitter and Instagram may tell us we are connected with each other. But can we make a better effort to spread positivity online and to overcome polarization?
Be the positivity your friends see in their newsfeeds. In doing so, you’ll bring God’s grace onto others’ screens and make the world a little brighter.
