How can we heal the Church in the US? Aly Cox shares how she sees Catholic Social Teaching as the answer. #RejuvenateTheChurch
Video Transcript
Aly Cox: At least from my experience as a young person, one of the ways we can most effectively heal the Church, especially the Church in the United States is through Catholic Social Teaching. And lifting that up as our guide instead of fall on American political values, which no one will be surprised falls short of pursuing the kingdom of God in a lot of different ways.
I think that authentic, Catholic leadership from our bishops and our priests, and the lay people who run our church, if those people understand and teach Catholic Social Teaching well, I think we would change the dynamic of how the Church interacts with the world and especially in the United States. Give a third option for how we approach our place in the world and how we treat the poor and vulnerable.
