Read "Valley Flowers", a poem about guilt.|Read "Valley Flowers", a poem about guilt.

My valleys have flowers that I never knew.
Afraid to go too far,
I did not want to look
at my wasteland of shame and guilt.
I slipped away
from the shadows that have their way.
Yet my flowers there did not die.
Standing tall,
untouched
by the darkness that I clutched.
My eyes finally fell upon their beauty,
ever slight
but enough to crave more.
So, I go down to my valleys
with the Light to uncover
the fears that kept me away for so long.
