Read "You Deserve", a poem about happiness.

You deserve

A break from reality.
Someone who makes you come alive.
Equality.
A meaningful career.
“How are you, really?”
The life you have always wanted.
The compliments.
To receive the love you give to others.
A round of applause.
To believe in yourself.
To feel your heart flutter when you hear a certain someone’s voice.
A smile on your face by just thinking about them.
An explanation.
Someone who will look at you every time like it’s the first time they laid eyes on you.
To feel like a million bucks.
The truth.
A poem about you.
“I love you!”
To vent without being given advice.
Feeling the wind in your hair.
The good memories.
To feel confident in your skin.
Love notes in the mornings.
Flowers.
Goosebumps from a good feeling.
A best friend you’ll grow old with.
To fully heal.
To be prioritized.
A day of rest.
To be who you want to be.
Better than that.
Happiness.
A handwritten letter.
To love fearlessly.
A moment when you realize that life is worth living.
To cuddle your angel-winged furry pet in your dreams.
Chills down your spine when hearing your new favorite song.
“This made me think of you.”
A hug from someone who left our world too soon.
Respect.
Cards in the mail.
A call over a text.
A song written about you.
The recognition.
Peace and tranquility.
To indulge every once in a while.
“Where have you been all my life?”
Endless love.
“Did you get home safely?”
Going to bed happy.
Your love language.
A happy ending.
It all. Everything, indubitably.
