Dating is...complicated, to say the least. And finding a date in the real world might not be as easy as it was on a college campus. So on our sixth episode of Don't Say Ad*lting, Jane and Mike talked to Timothy O'Malley, Ph.D., who is a professor at the University of Notre Dame and the Director of Education at the McGrath Institute for Church Life. He assigns an extra credit assignment for one of his classes that requires his students to ask someone on a date — challenging them to date intentionally.
He offers some knowledge, advice, and resources to help you build up the courage and knowledge to go on a date.
Should we use dating apps? How do you ask someone on a date? How do you avoid confusion when dating or in a relationship? Can you avoid awkwardness in dating? Is asking someone on a date better in person or through text? How do you respond to rejection? How many dates should you go on before you can make a decision? These are just some of the questions we explore in this episode, so make sure to give it a listen!
