Ted Yoder Performs ‘We Three Kings’ | #SeekChristmas
The magi from the east were seeking something great — something beautiful, good, and true. They rightly presumed that the star above Bethlehem shone for a king. They wanted to meet him, and after a long journey, they came prepared.
This Advent, are we not also seeking the reason for that same light? As we #SeekChristmas together, we are preparing our hearts for the celebration of the birth of Jesus. And we hope that we can be ready to share our gifts with Him as the magi shared theirs when they found what that great light was leading them toward.
As you listen to Ted Yoder’s instrumental version of ‘We Three Kings’ think about how you are seeking Christmas and its meaning this Advent season.
Lyrics:
We three kings of Orient are
Bearing gifts we traverse afar.
Field and fountain, moor and mountain,
Following yonder star.
O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect Light.
Born a king on Bethlehem’s plain,
Gold I bring to crown Him again,
King forever, ceasing never
Over us all to reign.
O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect Light.
